The history of transactions
Today I will share with you the history of my best investment so far in my real wallet and also in the Warsaw Stock Exchange Freedom Portfolio.
I share my current portfolio (including 2 Polish game developers) in the post 2019 year on the stock markets and performance of my shares. Read it to know my current portfolio of shares on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
I bought the first shares of the company CD Projekt (stock ticker WSE: CDR) on 26th November 2013. The price was then 14.80 PLN. I have sold the company in April 2017 – the average sale price reached 71.79 PLN. The profit during those less than three and a half years was +385.07%.
In the Warsaw Stock Exchange Freedom Portfolio, the company was present from its beginning. During this time it made gains +187.39%.
In the chart above, you can see the moments of buying (green dot) and selling (red dot) the shares of the company.
CD Projekt company
CD Projekt is a company working in the Video game industry. You can read more about this company under this link:
After buying the shares of CD Projekt, the price was going up while they were preparing their product – the game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It turned out to be a great success, the game won various Game of the Year awards. Later, they released two expansion packs to The Witcher 3 which were financial successes too. And now they are working on Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and Cyberpunk 2077.
Closing the position
I decided to sell the shares. During the last year, the price went up +163.94%. The success of the game The Witcher 3 and high hopes related to further successes of the company made CD Projekt one of the most valuable company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. For me, the sign for selling was the recommendation of the stock broker mentioning that this is a company which every investor should have in his wallet. Such an optimism is usually the pick point and I prefer to stay behind and observe the situation. I still think it is a company with a great potential but now the shares price and expectations seem to me to be quite high.
